The first, newer one is a simple, fast-paced version that does everything for you, more or less. The older version is more complex but principled, allowing for more flexibility; You will have more direct control over the look and functions of the site. You can use any of them for free, but you will have to use the old version if you want to set up a blog, as I did on this demo site. I could not place my own logo text on it, and I did not have an image based logo and therefore, its header looks a bit bland.
